THE FAIRY DIFFERENCE

Process

1

PROCESS

Our treatment starts with careful manual combing to remove live lice, followed by using controlled heat to weaken lice eggs. We finish with a thorough comb-out and apply a natural oil treatment to your scalp and hair. As part of our service, we clean and sterilize your hair brushes, too.

2

PRODUCTS

We use natural, chemical-free treatments for a safe and gentle lice removal process. Our natural products are soothing and effective, offering a comfortable alternative to harsh chemicals. This approach ensures a safe, holistic solution for you and your family.

3

TECHNIQUE

Our method combines hands-on care with education. We provide printed guides and a personalized 10-day plan to help reduce the risk of re-infestation. With our heat-based, chemical-free technique, you can expect greater comfort, effective results, and no irritation.

FAQs

Know Before You Book

Is one treatment enough to get rid of all lice?

It depends on the severity of the infestation and your follow-up care at home. While our products and process are specifically designed to minimize the hatching of lice eggs, a follow-up treatment may still be necessary. Diligence in following our instructions, treating bedding and brushes, and using the aftercare products is essential. Your persistence will greatly reduce the chances of reinfestation. A follow-up treatment may be necessary in many cases.

How long does the treatment process take?

The treatment time depends on the hair length, the hair texture (straight, curly, coilled), and the severity of the bug infestation. Depending on those factors, treatment can take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour. After an hour of combing, a follow-up appointment will be scheduled.

When booking, please make sure you account for potential delays as infestation is being assessed during the inspection - and the person getting treated before you may need more time as planned.

Is the treatment chemical-free?

Yes. We only use natural products. A patch test on the neck will be required to check for reactions to essential oils.

What do I need to bring with me to the appointment?

Bring all hair brushes the person receiving treatment used within the last 14 days. As part of our service, we offer cleaning them for you and ensuring the lice and nits are gone. Wear old clothing! Lice treatments can get messy quickly.

How soon can I wash my hair after treatment?

Leave the treatment in your hair for at least 8 hours. If you can, sleep with a shower cap or bonnet to keep any oils from staining your bedding. Wash out with shampoo - add a few drops of tea tree oil into your shampoo bottle. Wash at least three times to get the entire treatment out.
